About the job

 

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to assist us in developing and extending our energy models with state-of-the-art methodologies and latest data. During your internship, you will work with our product and commercial teams to support them in their current tasks.

Responsibilities
​

Your tasks will be to...

  • develop and extend models for renewable energy potential estimation

  • conduct municipal energy planning projects across European countries

  • identify and integrate open data sources in our workflows

  • explore new models for estimating building energy demand

  • support the product and commercial team in constantly changing tasks

 

Qualifications

​

For this position you need to...

  • study engineering, computer science or related subjects

  • have knowledge about energy systems, demand, potentials and/or distribution

  • have programming experience (ideally in Python)

  • work independently and communicate effectively within a team

 

You’re a great fit if you...

  • have experience working with geospatial data (geopandas, QGIS, ArcGIS)

  • have knowledge in energy modeling of buildings and cities

  • have Machine Learning experience

  • speak German or French

Location & time

​

Our team is spread across Switzerland. Depending on your location, we encourage in-person meetings in our Sion office or co-working spaces in Zürich or Lausanne.

 

We are very flexible concerning the timing of your internship, but you should dedicate 40%-100% of your time for a period of 3-6 months, ideally starting in early 2025.
